Feasibility Study Information Sessions to introduce study findings

Follow-up meetings to foster community discussion

To introduce community members to the recently released Reorganization Feasibility Study final report, Frankfort-Schuyler, Herkimer, Ilion and Mohawk Central School districts will each hold a Feasibility Study Information Session in November.

Consultants from SES Study Group will lead the sessions providing background on the study process and giving residents a chance to look at the study's findings. The attendees will then be invited to spend the next several weeks analyzing the study (available via Merger Study home page, section entitled "final merger study report released").

The dates for the Feasibility Study Information Sessions are as follows:

  • Nov. 15 at 7 p.m., Ilion Junior-Senior High School LGI

  • Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., Herkimer High School Auditorium

  • Nov. 28 at 7 p.m., Mohawk Jarvis Auditorium

  • Nov. 30 at 7 p.m., Frankfort-Schuyler High School Auditorium

All who attend any of the Information Sessions will receive a copy of the study. Community residents will then be invited to spend the next several weeks analyzing and discussing the findings of the study with fellow community members.

SES Study Group consultants Paul Seversky, Doug Exley, and Sam Shevat encourage community members to attend at least one of the Study Information Sessions.

“The goal of the Information Sessions is to present the findings of the study. At the end of each presentation, the SES Study Team will answer questions that may help to clarify the findings. We hope that community members will take the study home and spend some time reviewing the findings and talking about them with neighbors, friends and family. We invite community members of each district to return to one of the Community Discussion meetings each district will hold in the near future to ask questions about various elements of the findings and the pupils of their current home school district.” Seversky said.

The Community Discussion meetings will be held:

  • Dec. 6 at 7 p.m., Ilion Junior-Senior High School LGI

  • Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., Herkimer High School Auditorium

  • Dec. 20 at 7 p.m., Mohawk Jarvis Auditorium

  • Jan 3 at 7 p.m., Frankfort-Schuyler High School Auditorium
