The Ilion Central School District receives Title I funds to support students who are economically disadvantaged to help ensure that all students are meeting challenging academic standards and both the district and its schools are expected to make Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) toward these standards. Traditionally, Ilion Central School Districts and its schools have been in good standing.
In 2010-2011, Remington Elementary was identified as not making AYP for students with Disabilities in ELA. As such, the district is obligated to make supplemental educational services available to Remington students who are income eligible. Additional information will be mailed home to eligible families and will be added to this web site.
For more information on Title I and the No Child Left Behind Act, view the powerpoint or PDF file.
Barringer Road Elementary is no longer identified as a School In Need of Improvement. Barringer Road did meet their performance target in ELA for students with disabilities for two years and now is in good standing.
Remington Elementary is designated as a School In Need of Improvment for students with disabilities in ELA.
Ilion Jr.-Sr. High School (IJSH) is in designated as a School In Need of Improvement for students with disabilities in ELA. IJSH does not receive any Title I funding.
A second enrollment fair for supplemental educational services (SES) will be held on February 15 from 6 to 7:30 pm at Remington Elementary. SES providers will be available to answer your questions. Enrollment forms will be available at Remington.
