Notify the district of concerns
Notify the ICSD Safety Committee of safety concerns within the district via email to the Safety Committee. Please include your name and telephone number in the email you submit. The email is monitored on a regular basis, however for any urgent criminal concerns you feel require immediate attention, contact an administrator or the Ilion Police Department.

Policies
Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1987 (AHERA)
In accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act of 1987 (AHERA), a copy of the Ilion Central School building inspection report and management plan is available for review during business hours by appointment. Please contact Mr. Brady Boyd at 894-5000 ext 55600 or via email at bboyd@ilioncsd.org if you need to set up an appointment or if you have any questions.
Integrated Pest Management
The Ilion Central School District uses current
Integrated Pest Management practices to reduce the use of pesticides
in our buildings
and on our grounds. It many be necessary, however, to use pesticides
periodically during the year.
New York State law requires that schools and BOCES maintain a list of parents or guardians who wish to receive written notice forty-eight hours prior to a pesticide application at their child’s facility.
If you wish to be included on the School District notification list or for further information on the District’s pesticide program please contact: Mr. Brady Boyd at 894-5000 ext 55600 or via email at bboyd@ilioncsd.org. You will then receive advance notification requirements, except in the event of an emergency application in response to a threat to public health.
Global Connect
In 2006 the district purchased a voice messaging system called Global Connect. Global Connect allows district personnel to place thousands of phone calls within minutes. District staff can record information and send the recording to the phone numbers that parents provide. It is important that parents keep contact information current so that they may be reached by the system in an emergency.
