Herkimer, Ilion and Mohawk to hold community merger meetings
First meeting is June 6 in Mohawk
The Herkimer, Ilion and Mohawk school districts will hold a series of four community merger meetings over the next 10 weeks to share the latest information on the proposed three-school merger and to provide residents an opportunity to ask merger related questions.
Each meeting begins at 6 p.m. and will be preceded by tours of the host building beginning at 4:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to attend any or all of the meetings.
Meeting dates and places are:

June 6: Gregory B. Jarvis Junior-Senior High School auditorium, 28 Grove St., Mohawk

July 25: Herkimer High School auditorium, 801 County Road 245, Herkimer

August 9: Ilion High School auditorium, 1 Golden Bomber Dr., Ilion

August 22: Herkimer County Community College auditorium, 100 Reservoir Road, Herkimer (no building tour)
To ensure a uniform message, each forum will follow the same format and will involve all three superintendents. The meetings will begin with a brief video and a brief review of the three-school proposal. The superintendents, with assistance from members of the Community Advisory Committee, will then answer audience questions.
