Canned goods = baked goods

Student Council members are willing to don the apron and bake for you. Donations for desserts! What more could you ask for?

Senior High Student Council members are sponsoring a canned/non-perishable items food drive to benefit the Ilion-Frankfort Food Pantry. Any student or staff member that brings in at least 5 non-perishable items between now and November 22, 2011 will earn a coupon good for free baked goods to be given out on November 22, 2011. Student council hopes the generosity of the Ilion Jr.-Sr. High School community will once again show how caring they can be by donating items for a successful collection.

Examples of non-perishable items that are needed:

  • Canned meats such as tuna, chicken or fish

  • Canned vegetables

  • Canned soups and stews

  • Cereal and oatmeal

  • Rice and pasta

  • Peanut butter

  • Canned fruit

  • Canned tomato products

  • Meal Mixes, such as Hamburger Helper, macaroni and cheese or Rice-A-Roni

  • Condiments

  • Canned or dried beans and peas

  • Canned fruits

  • Instant potatoes

  • Fruit juice (canned, plastic or boxed) - Make sure it's 100% juice.

  • Shelf-stable milk. This includes dehydrated milk, canned evaporated milk and instant breakfasts
