Remington Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an organization that aids the students of Remington Elementary School by providing support for their educational and recreational needs and to promote open communication between the administration, teachers, and parents.
Many times, students and teachers are only able to receive items for their classroom or go on a field trip with the support of PTO as they have often paid for transportation and admission. PTO provides the classroom with support materials for enhanced learning. A monthly family involvement night is sponsored with a different theme each month to get kids and families together as well as support for various events during the school year.
Meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month. You are invited to attend one or as many as you wish. At each meeting upcoming events and funding requests are discussed.
PTO relies on volunteers to be successful. Whether it is baking for the craft fair or helping out the day of an event. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering to help, email Remington PTO at rempto@ilioncsd.org.
PTO currently has officer positions available. If you are interested in being on the board, email PTO at rempto@ilioncsd.org and express your interests. Being in an officer position doesn't have to take up a lot of your time. The group has always been open to anyone to do what they can, but without parent and teacher support, PTO will not be successful. Please consider volunteering to support the students of Remington Elementary.
A major fundraiser for PTO is their Annual Arts and Craft Fair. It is open to the public free of charge and offers approximately 100 crafters. Food items and refreshments are available as well as a Bountiful Bake Sale, Chance Auction, and kids craft section. Read more information on the craft fair.
