Has the male Remington staff gone rogue? Where are
all these bearded men coming from? Have you ever seen such a sight?
8 "wise men" of Remington Elementary have agreed to grow beards this holiday season to raise funds for Roadrunners Racing for a Cure. The proceeds will go to the family of Gracie Lawton, a young girl struggling with cancer. Adorning their faces through December 19, the question is who will have the best or worst beard based on 25 cent votes made by the students!
The men have started, the whiskers are on their way to growing thick and bushy. The festivities don't end with just one day of voting. Throughout the week students will vote not just for the full beards, but the goatee, mustache, and finally the shaved bare face! Students will enjoy watching the changes to the men's faces during the different stages of the contest.
Monday, December 19 - full beard voting
Tuesday, December 20 - goatee voting
Wednesday, December 21 - mustache voting
Thursday, December 22 - shaved bare face voting
Save up those quarters and bring them in for voting rights. Students will be voting during their lunch period. This will be a fun edeavor for all 8 participants. So, if you feel that all the men at Remington went rogue and started boycotting shaving, it is not true and they are actually raising money for a good cause. For these "wise men" the morning of December 22 when they get to shave cannot come quick enough! Thank you in advance for your support of this effort to help out Gracie and her family.
