Open House and Ice Cream Social—a sweet success
Remington
Elementary held its annual Open House and Ice Cream Social on
Wednesday, Sept. 14. Children and their families met in front of the
school to enjoy make-your-own ice cream sundaes sponsored by the
Remington PTO. While students played in the front yard and drew on the
driveway with sidewalk chalk, parents and teachers chatted informally.
Cub Scout Pack 7 set up a booth inviting boys to join scouts. The Ilion Central School District Foundation sold tickets for the November Daily Drawing fundraiser. School staff also distributed backpack to anyone needing a backpack. Backpacks were donated the First Presbyterian Church of Ilion.
After the festivities, everyone moved inside to visit classrooms and learn about the new school year.
