In addition to classroom review for Regents exams, senior high teachers are holding classes after school to help prepare students for the June exams. Students are encouraged to attend any or all of the sessions. Anyone wishing to improve their grade or that need to repeat a Regents exam can also attend. [More info and schedules]

Barringer Road Elementary fifth and sixth graders recently completed the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Math-A-Thon. After collecting sponsors and donations, students worked on a booklet of math problems improving their math skills while helping others in need. [full story]
Kindergarten students at Barringer Road Elementary kicked off the weekend by holding a Mother's Day Tea for the important ladies in their lives. Many moms, grandmas and aunts enjoyed the celebration. [full story]
30 Ilion seniors learn what it is like first hand to run a village when they participated in Youth In Government Day. Students toured the village and shadowed village employees, followed by a mock village board meeting. [full story]

With the good weather, residents are reminded that the elementary school playgrounds and the junior-senior high school track and tennis courts are used for school recreation and physical education classes. Residents are welcome to use these facilities when not in use for school activities.
